Delete Your Buddy Language Account
You can permanently delete your Buddy Language account and associated personal data at any time either directly inside the mobile app or via email without reinstalling the app.
Option 1: Instant Deletion Inside Buddy Language
- Open Buddy Language and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Edit Profile.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm permanent deletion.
Option 2: Web / Email Deletion Request (No App Required)
If you have already uninstalled Buddy Language or cannot sign in, submit a deletion request from the email address linked to your account:

What Data Is Deleted vs. Retained
- Permanently Deleted (within 30 days): Deleting your account permanently erases your Firebase Authentication login, Cloud Firestore user profile, saved learning progress, conversation logs, and uploaded avatar/storage files. Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered.
- Subscription Billing Note: Deleting your app account does not automatically cancel an active Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Please also cancel any active renewal in your Apple ID or Google Play Subscriptions menu.
- Minimal Legal Retention: Anonymous financial/tax receipt records issued by Apple or Google and security abuse logs (if any) are retained only to the extent required by applicable tax and fraud-prevention laws.
